A little About Me

I got robbed! They stole things they could carry and get rid of easily, like my jewellery and earring collection. Absolutely desperate, I borrowed a book on wire jewellery making, started experimenting, and never looked back. That’s how I really got into this jewellery life.

I love wire-work. I love twisting, weaving, crocheting and knitting with wire. I love the challenge of taking a simple, piece of wire and creating a complex piece of jewellery or an object.  When I added vintage beads from my god mother to my work, I began beading and entered my work in Australia’s first Beading Extravaganza. My work got selected and was showcased in Sydney.  Next, I began experimenting with silver, utilising the materials to make fine jewellery and pieces of keepsake jewellery, known as Memento Mori.

In 2013, I enrolled in the Certificate IV of Creative Visual Arts in Jewellery. At the end of the year I knew I had learn more, so I went on to achieve a Bachelor of Creative Visual Arts.

Always looking for a challenge, I have also completed master classes and entered various competitions and exhibitions as my practice grows and transforms, winning several awards in different areas throughout my artistic career. The picture featured on this page shows me winning the Emerging Artist category at the Brighton Sculpture Contest in early 2020. The recognition from this and from selling my pieces drives me to continue to improve and change as I learn new techniques and strengthen my skills and the techniques I love.
