African Jaspar

I LOVE African jewelry and have been making some necklaces using this rich, rustic style.

There are many special characteristics of this necklace. I hand-made the bail and clasp in the wire tradition of African jewelry makers, and the jasper pendant is a little less than perfect, giving it character.

The round wooden beads are cedar, so they have a distinctive lovely aroma.  There are nut beads and beautiful tribal beads in blue, white, yellow, and green to give it colour.

Clasp and bail are made from 20g Gun Metal Artistic wire that I forged for strength. The beads are strung using beading wire.

The entire necklace sits at a matinee length and is 53cm, while the pendant falls 5.8cm.
