TechnoPunk Laser Necklace

A real laser from a DVD player. Inspired by all things Steam Punk, when my CD burner died I just had to pull it apart and see what I could do with the interesting pieces inside. This is the fascinating result!The lazer for the CD became the center of the necklace. This still moves from side to side within its carriage. I cut and filed a CD for the round back piece, which is secured to the lazer using the original screws. The top piece of stainless steel for the bail was cut down from the slider (what makes the lazer move along as it plays) and secured using original screws from CD player. The stainless steel ball chain connects to the bail using stainless steel ball chain connectors secured with wire wrapped crystals.And lets not forget the finishing touch of cobalt blue Czech crystals at the side of the lazer to “Make it all work” of course.This necklace will shine on the dance floor as the CD disc and the laser catch the lights.Length 29.5”/ 75cm, can be shorted and especially joined.
